We hear so many grumbles about the Parish Council, I feel it only fair to issue praise when it is due. Tuesday 18th August, 23.25 to be exact, I emailed the secretary of the council asking if the street light near our house could be repaired? With the burglaries going on in the village recently we don't need dark corners. I received a reply less than 20 minutes later saying the matter was in hand and to get back if nothing was done in a couple of days. The men turned up about 10am Thursday morning and the light was repaired. I don't think we can ask for better than that. Well done!!
